Salvation Army Service Unit

Throughout the year we:

• Help our fellow citizens in need by helping with electric, gas, and water bills, clothing, etc. Helping those in need is our primary focus.
• Provide an annual summer camp opportunity for underserved children in our area.  Summer camp is held at the Salvation Army's "Camp Paradise Valley" near the Tennessee - Kentucky state line in Burkesville, KY.
• Provide volunteer opportunities during our year end "Red Kettle" fundraising drive. We always need "bellringers" to help us out.

The Mission of the Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, is an international movement and is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Locally, we assist those who are unable to meet their basic needs.  We depend on the generosity and the spirit of volunteerism in our community to provide that assistance.
