The Bridge at Rockwood

Who We Are

We have a full rehabilitative staffed department that provides physical, occupational and speech therapy for our short term patients to get them back to their previous physical status when possible in order to return home.

A full time Physician Assistnat is in our building each day to provide care to our residents and our medical director, Dr. Mancel Wakham can be seen in our facility almost daily.

Our Quality of Life activity program believes our seniors' life should be a journey to active aging.  Residents enjoy bowling parties, musical entertainment, field trips, out of facility activities and more.  We also assist our residents in achieving their life-long dreams such as four wheeling, boating and jet skiing.

The Bridge at Rockwood has a full-time Chaplain with our spirituality program holding strong to a solid base that embraces all our residents' spiritual needs through love and compassion.

When a patient is ready to return home, our company provides home and community based services through our Silver Angels.  Services can range from personal care to homemaker and companionship services.  For more information on Silver Angels, phone 865-245-8261.

What We Do

Serenity is defined as "the state of being serene which means calm, peaceful, tranquil and untroubled."  The Bridge at Rockwood is a nursing facility that is part of the innovative Serenity model of health care offering not only short term rehab care but long term nursing care.  One of the five Serenity buildings in Tennessee, The Bridge at Rockwood is the only one in East Tennessee.  Serenity specializes and has a unit within the building for the advanced dementia and Alzheimer disease patients.  A secure building, we base our service on individual needs.
