Who We Are
The Mid-East Community Action Agency serves as the professional organization for the development and implementation of strategies in addressing the problems of poverty within Roane & Loudon Counties.
It is the general purpose of MECAA to identify problems of poverty and to seek the elimination of conditions of poverty as they affect people in the communities of Roane and Loudon County, Tennessee.
It shall further be the general purpose and functions of the MECAA to utilize and mobilize the resources of the community to implement programs that are designed to empowered those in need to rise out of poverty and take charge of their own destiny and become self sufficient.

Mid-East Community Action Agency believes in improving quality of life and creating healthy communities.
It is the mission of the Mid-East Community Action Agency to partner with the community to strengthen individuals and families through social service programs to increase stability and/or self-sufficiency.
It shall further be the general purpose and functions of the MECAA to utilize and mobilize the resources of the community to implement programs that are designed to alleviate the effects of poverty in the Roane-Loudon County area.
