

Who We Are
Michael Dunn Center offers many programs to those we serve. Each service is designed to support an individual’s choice to be involved in their own communities. The services provided by Michael Dunn Center are as follows:
- Early Intervention/Preschool Program for ages birth to 5- The Henry Center is a preschool program that holds a contract with the Tennessee Department of Education to provide Early Intervention Services to children under the age of 3. This setting integrates children with developmental disabilities with their typically developing peers. Home and community based services are also provided through the Early Intervention component.
- School Program for ages 6-22 - Serves students with disabilities on campus at Michael Dunn Center.
- Adult Day Habilitation- exists to serve adults with disabilities throughout the day and incorporating them in activities in the community, group outings and in social settings with friends that supports their physical, medical, psychological and emotional needs.
- Work Programs- both on site contract labor and off site community jobs for those we support.
- Family Model Services- Exists to provide Foster care to individuals with disabilities.
- Residential Services- Provides housing in a community setting for individuals with disabilities.
- Health Services- Provides twenty four hour supervision of medically vulnerable individuals - provides day to day operation of health related support in Michael Dunn Center homes and on the Center's main campus. Also includes a staff speech/language Pathologist, Registered Dietitian, Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist.
- Social Services- Provides case management for all adults supported to assure compliance with Individuals Service Plans and efficient communication of health concerns to and from health care providers.
- Conservator Services- A conservator representative from Michael Dunn Center serves individuals who the court system, in the state of Tennessee, has determined needs representation and support to make legal decisions about their own well being and care. This service is provided in the majority of counties statewide.
- Support Services to the Agency- Administration, Engineering, Human Services, Information Technology, Finance, Transportation, Development and Quality Assurance.

What We Do
Michael Dunn Center is a nonprofit organization located in Roane County, TN that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Established in 1971, Michael Dunn Center has grown to serve over 400 individuals with disabilities and has become a top ten employer in Roane County. The services offered are provided from birth to death covering many levels of support and service.
