Who We Are
Our mission is to help mitigate the effects of fire, medical emergencies, transportation accidents, weather related emergencies, and Natural Disasters on the people and communities of the Fourth Civil District in Southern Roane County. This is done by dedicated volunteer first responders that live in our area and who are trained in Fire Suppression, Rescue, and Medical First Response. Fire Prevention is also an important part of our services and we are actively involved in fire prevention education programs in our schools, churches, and local businesses in the area. Operation is made possible through the generous donations of residents, local business, grants, and agency partners such as The United Way of Roane County.
What We Do
We are an all volunteer fire department that covers approximately 103 square miles of area in Roane County from South of the River in Kingston with neighboring borders of Watts Barr Lake, Loudon and Meigs Counties. We run over 200 calls for emergency service a year and serve or partially serve communities in Kingston, Paint Rock, Dry Fork, Renfro, Half Moon Shores, Ten Mile, Philadelphia, and Loudon. SRCVFD also provides mutual aid to the other fire departments in Roane and surrounding counties either automatically or upon request.
