Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee

Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee is the second oldest rape crisis center in the nation. We have 4 main components to our agency: Advocacy to provide hospital accompaniment, case manangement, court accompaniment and navigation through the Criminal Justice System, along with many referrals and information. Education delivers personal safety curriculum to public and provate schools K-12 with age appropriate instruction along with community outreach to educate the public at large. SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) provides the forensic evidence collection "rape kit" and medications for STI's. Therapy- provides ongoing therapy to victims/survivors of sexual violence. All the services we provide are free!

The mission of the Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee is to provide excellent and compassionate services for victims and survivors of sexual violence in their healing journey, and to eliminate sexual violence in our communities through education and social change.
