What We Do

The East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging & Disability (ETAAAD), a division of the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency (ETHRA) – a non-profit, social service agency, was established in 1976 through the Older Americans Act.  The ETAAAD provides planning services for this region on issues affecting older adults and persons with disabilities, and is responsible for developing an advocacy and service delivery system in East Tennessee for persons age 60 and over and for persons with disabilities.  The ETAAAD serves as the Single Point of Entry for East Tennessee, offering information on long-term care programs or services to older adults and adults with physical disabilities, regardless of income.
